What areas of the face can be treated with Botox or neurotoxin injections?

Common treatment areas are:

  • 11 lines or glabella
  • forehead lines
  • “crow’s feet”(lines around the eyes)

However, neurotoxins are versatile drugs and can be used for:

  • Smoker’s lines
  • Jaw reduction – gives one a softer and more visually pleasing appearance
  • TMJ disorder (or Bruxism) – relaxes the jaw (masseter) muscles to reduce the effect of teeth grinding, irritation, and pain

What is an IPL treatment like and what results can I expect?

  • Generally, 3 to 6 treatments are recommended at 3-4 week intervals. Each full-face treatment takes about 30 minutes, other body areas may take a little longer.
  • The skin immediately after the treatment may appear a bit flushed, and fine capillaries may appear more visible. Brown spots will appear darker and one may experience some slight swelling, but all these changes fade within a few hours to a few days.
  • Beginning with your first treatment, the skin will have a more even tone, with a smoother as well as fresher look and feel. Sunspots should fade, pore size will shrink, and fine wrinkle lines are significantly reduced. Skin redness, flushing and dilated capillaries gradually will disappear. An IPL Photofacial treatment offers a very high level of patient satisfaction. Begin your treatments today and restore your natural beauty to your skin with no downtime.

PRP facial treatment is used to improve the appearance of:

  • Complexion
  • Acne scars
  • Fine lines
  • Sun-damaged skin
  • Brown discolorations

What areas can be treated with PRP treatment?

  • PRP Rejuvenation can be done on the face, neck, chest area, and hands. It is safe for all skin types and ages.

Two common PRP treatments: PRP facelift and PRP facial

  • PRP facelift is a procedure that begins with a simple blood draw from your arm. Your blood will then be processed by spinning it in a centrifuge. This separates the plasma and platelets from the red blood cells and takes about 15 minutes. Your PRP will then be injected into your face so that the body’s own healing process triggers the regrowth of new tissue and blood flow to recreate your younger self.
  • PRP facial is a procedure that combines PRP with microneedling. This method is known as “collagen induction therapy or vampire facial”. The small entries into the dermis cause the skin to respond with collagen which softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as superficial sun damage.

Visible improvement in the skin is seen with each treatment though the results are compounded and optimal when done in at least a series of 3 around one month apart. The procedure usually takes 30 minutes to an hour depending on the area treated and number of injections.

There are 3 phases to wound repair process:

  • Phase I: Inflammation. Piercing the skin triggers your immune system to disinfect the wounds, remove debris, increase blood flow and begin to create new tissue.
  • Phase II: Proliferation. The wound is re-built with new granulation cells, as well as a temporary (type III) collagen and elastin, which are part of the extracellular matrix. Additionally, a new network of blood vessels develops.
  • Phase III: Remodeling. The wound has been replaced with new dermal tissues and blood vessels. The type III collagen in the newly formed tissue is replaced with stronger type I collagen, which can contract to create a tightening or “shrink wrap” effect on the skin.

What results can I expect?

  • 3-5 sessions at four-week intervals are recommended to maximize the collagen rebuilding process necessary for skin tightening and wrinkle reduction.
  • After each session, you might experience some slight redness and irritation at the treatment site. This redness is caused by the skin’s elevated temperature during treatment and will quickly resolve within hours following the procedure.
  • Skin tightening results with TempSure® Envi will vary. However, most of our patients see optimal results in the weeks and months following their visit.

Latisse in the Comfort of Your Own Home

Latisse is available only by prescription through your medical provider. The serum is applied at home, once nightly, to the upper lashes. If you are a good candidate, our providers at AMS Pomona will give you a prescription for Latisse, which will then be filled at your local pharmacy.

How long will the results from my Latisse treatment last?

  • Patients will begin to notice results from their Latisse treatment in as little as four weeks.*
  • However, the full benefits will take up to 16 weeks to appear. The results can be long-lasting, provided the Latisse treatment continues. Once Latisse has been stopped, the lashes will return to their normal state.

*Individual results may vary.
